The Langtang Ganja La Pass Trek is a 12-day hard-grade trek crossing the Ganja La Pass (5,122m) from the Langtang Valley to the Helambu region. Unlike the standard Langtang Valley trek which goes in and out the same way, this route makes a complete traverse, requiring one night of camping at the high pass where no tea houses exist. The trek begins with a drive to Syabrubesi, climbs through the Langtang Valley to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m) for acclimatization, then crosses the dramatic Ganja La Pass (5,122m) with panoramic views of the Langtang and Jugal Himal ranges, before descending into the Helambu valley and returning to Kathmandu. The pass crossing requires good weather and experienced guides, and is one of Nepal’s most rewarding high-pass adventures within easy reach of Kathmandu.
