You will witness the grandeur of Saipal Himal (7,031 m), one of Nepal’s most striking peaks, along with panoramic views of Thado Dhunga, Rajamba, Kapchuli, Mt. Nandadevi, Api, and Nampa. The region’s ethnic diversity, including Khas, Bhote, and Tibetan communities, adds depth to this adventure.
Although remote, the trek is moderately challenging, suitable for fit trekkers with good health and endurance. Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are the best seasons, offering stable weather and clear skies. Saipal Himal Trek Itinerary
Your journey begins as you land in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Our representative will greet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. After some rest, you’ll attend a short briefing about the trek and enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
Take a scenic one-hour flight to the flatlands of western Nepal. Nepalgunj is a busy town near the Indian border. You’ll have time to explore the local market or rest before your next early-morning flight.
A short yet spectacular mountain flight takes you to Simikot — the headquarters of Humla District. After arrival, you can explore the vibrant village, meet the local team, and prepare for the trek.
Your trek officially begins today. The trail gradually ascends through pine forests, small villages, and terraced fields. You’ll get your first glimpses of the remote Himalayan life.
Walking Hours: 5–6 hours
Continue trekking through forested trails and cross a few suspension bridges over mountain streams. Raya is a small settlement with a peaceful environment and a view of distant hills.

Today’s trail climbs steadily through oak and rhododendron forests. You’ll enjoy mountain views and encounter local herders. Overnight at Lama Chaur.
Walking Hours: 6–7 hours
This is one of the most exciting days. You will cross the Khadikhani Pass, which offers a sweeping view of the Saipal range. After enjoying the panorama, descend to Lampato for an overnight stay.

The path gradually climbs through open meadows and yak-grazing fields. The cool mountain breeze and the sight of soaring peaks create a tranquil atmosphere.

A challenging but rewarding day. You’ll hike to the Eastern Base Camp of Saipal Himal. Enjoy the magnificent view of Saipal Himal (7,031 m) and surrounding snow peaks. Return to Rani Kharka for the night.

Descend through alpine vegetation and then follow the glacial river downstream toward Lepche Kharka, a beautiful pasture area used by local herders.

This is the highest point of the trek. From Sakya Lagna Pass, enjoy stunning views of Saipal, Nampa, and Api Himal. Then descend to Chala village for overnight rest.

Trek along the river valley with breathtaking views of the surrounding ridges. The route gradually descends to Kharang Khola.
